help writing an invitation letter

i have close work permit, my wife was in OWP and due to new regulation we were not able to re new her stay as OWP but we get visitor record, my wife was a way from home country for 2 year and now she will not be able to leave and come back due to VR doesn't allow her to return if she went for vacation

now we would like to invite her mother for a visit

  • I have a closed work permit. I have been in Canada for 4 years
  • My wife has VR, and she gave birth to a baby 9 months ago. He is a Canadian citizen
  • My sister has lived in Canada since 2007. She is a Canadian citizen
  • my mother-in-law in low /aunt she 65 years old - she has her own home, she works as a teacher, she has a vacation letter

How can we build our invitation letter case?
and which is better to be the primary to write the letter " who is inviting my mother in low" ( me, my wife, or my sister )

  • My wife has not seen her mother for more than 2 years now, and she is not able to leave due to her visitor record condition
  • We got a doctor's note that my wife is suffering from postpartum depression, and she is not feeling well
  • Our son's birthday is in November
  • My wife is the only child of her mother, and our son is the first grandson of my mother-in-law

pls help with the scenario in writing the letter or any draft

thank you

Based on the reasons you have listed, your wife should be visiting your mother. How has she stayed on VR for 9 months? She might have overstay issues.

Your mother-in-law applies and gets approved based on the strength of their application which includes factors like ties to return, enough savings, enough money for trip, etc. IMO, your sister should invite her under supervisa program.

My wife was in OWP for 2 years , applied for extention refused, then applied for VR approved

.Would not highlight her medical needs given she likely no longer qualifies for healthcare in Canada. The one exception is if she is dealing with the most severe form of postpartum depression or psychosis where she is a danger to herself and/or the baby. That would likely be considered an emergency. Also she is able to leave Canada. The issue is coming back. Eventually her attempt to extend her VR will likely be denied since the goal is to reduce the number of temporary residents. Will you be able to get selected for one of the PR program in the next 6 months? 12 months?

If your MIL is working as a teacher she should really travel during a school break. She had 9 months to try to visit her grandchild snd multiple years to visit her child so not sure any of your reasons make sense. She can try to apply to visit your family and meet the baby. A simple reason for a visit is often the best. Would also request an 2-3 week max if no previous travel to Canada, US, Australia, etc. especially in the past decade. Approval will be based on her profile.
