Help with Document Request

Hi everyone,

I received email from CIC on Feb 10, 2016 requesting below documents. I've replied to the email with scans of all the documents, but I'm confused whether should I send the original copy of my PCC?

Ø > Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate from India. This must be received at this office by: 2016/04/05


Ø > Notice of Assessment: A copy of the Canadian Revenue Agency Notice of tax Assessment from 2013 and 2014. This must be received at this office by: 2016/03/05
Ø > T4: A copy of the Canadian Revenue Agency T4 form from 2014. This must be received at this office by: 2016/03/05


Ø > Client Information: Address history with no gaps from 2008/10-2012/01 This must be received at this office by: 2016/03/05

You must send us the requested information by email within 60 days from the date of this letter.

Please reply directly to this email and put your application number in the title.

Please note:

· Any documents submitted which are not in English or French must be accompanied by a translation in either English or French.

· Do not submit originals, unless otherwise stated, as documents submitted will not be returned.

Hi stanley

They have asked you to reply by email. So the scan copy is what they are expecting here. If this is your second time submitting the PCC you can definitely send only the scan copy in email.
As you have already sent them the scanned copy you can also call CIC and confirm
If they have received the document and if they need the hard copy originals.
Many applicants who have been asked to submit the PCC again hv submitted the scan copy you can check with them.

It is written that you have to submit the original of the PCC though. If I were you, I would scan the PCC then send the originals by mail (and explain that you do both on your email).

I will mail the original PCC, but which address shall I mail to? There's no address provided by the Document Request email.

i got the same email and i sent everything by email . it clearly states to reply to the email with the documents so a scanned copy is what they need. they just have a standard way of writing "provide original PCC"..

to confirm this i also emailed cic and they said just send scanned copies.

Call/email CIC asking about sending original documents.

Scan everything to send it by email.
If you get confirmation about original document, explain in the email you're sending it, including track number

I emailed CIC and got below reply from them. I've already sent out all the scanned documents before, haven't they got them yet?

Thank you for your e-mail. Please note that at this moment, a scanned copy of the police certificate is sufficient. Please submit the requested document by replying to this correspondence.

They got your files. But since u emailed them they have to reply to your email according to what wss asked. Diff ppl receive emails and answer so the person who got your initial email might not have known that u sent the docs as it wss justt a general information email.

Me neither. I got medical request in a week after submitting documents. Nothing after.

That's crappy... I just really want this to be over and done with... but I know I'm not the only one waiting..
