HELP - Will a temporary work permit holder need to book return ticket too??

Hi, kindly help with the information if a temporary work permit visa holder would need to show return ticket at airport? A relative of mine with super visa faced such an issue while boarding. Kindly share your expert opinions.

Given a super visa could allow the holder to stay upto 2 years on any one visit does not make sense to expect a return ticket given airlines only issue returns upto approx 330 days out. Sounds as though the airline agent was not aware of the terms of a super visa.

Also do not confuse a super visa, an extended visit visa, with a temp work permit as they are not the same. The latter should not need a return ticket and same airline restriction for returns applies anyway.
