Hello! Everyone,
I have recently applied for PR under the FSW scheme in Feb & received the Acknowledgement & now i am in the process of posting my documents. I am from India & my wife is also a indian resident but has studied in the UK from 2006 to 2008. So, does she require Police Cleareance from UK or just India? She is now back in India. I am the prime applicant.
I'll be more than happy if you guys help me out with this so i can start the process immediately.

Thank you & all the best.

any country where she lived in for a least 6months from the age of 18.

Dear Friend.... yes your wife does require PCC from UK as well as India.......but unlike getting an Indian PCC it is not a difficult task to get PCC from UK.... ....all the best

Yes, she does require a PCC as per the rules: Go to this link and download the form. Takes ca. 10-15 Days.

Hello! Everyone,
Thank you very much for your kind responses. I have gone through the website & that has enough details. My question is actually how do i transfer money from India? Is that via Postal Order or will Western Money work? They are charging £35 for standard delivery & £70 for Emergency which comes in 2 days. I don't mind for 10 days standard delivery.

Thank you & God bless you all.

Regds.

Hi Swaps82. Find someone in UK to whom you can post your completed application and arrange for them to make the payment by cheque/postal order and then forward the application along with fees to acpo... if still in doubt there is a helpline number on the website ... call them and or email them and believe me they reply within 2-3 working days... also check the frequently asked questions... I have had a very good experience with these guys... they are very helpful. All the best

hey! GUys,
Thank u so much for your kind assistance. U r doing gr8 job & i am sure u all will get what u want.
I did email the UK police & they replied back saying i can fill up the form from anyone in India from any of
those authrorities. I just have to ask someone in UK to transfer the money on my behalf and later i pay them.
Thats excellent stuff.

Thank u once again. God bless.
Keep posting. CHeers!!

You will need to contact ACRO who offers clearance certificates to people residing outside UK:
