Hello All,

I am an accountant in India working for past 4 years in private sector. I have B.COM and doing post graduate distance learning degree in Accounting. I want to apply for Canadian PR, but I am not sure which category I fall into? I want to move to Canada to Work / Study and settle down in Canada eventually. Can someone tell me which categories I qualify for?

Thanks in advance!

Information about Canada's immigration programs can be found here:

Recommend you start by researching the Express Entry program.

Thanks! I did fill out the questionnaire. It says I may be eligible under Express Entry. I want to know what are the chances of getting PR? I am from India and people who got PR are from engineering background. Since I am an accountant, do I have a chance? What are key things Canadian Immigration looks at for PR?

Based on your question, you need to do more research to understand how Canada's immigration programs work. Express Entry is a points-based system. Those with the most points are selected. Right now you must have 440+ points to be selected out of the pool.

Where can I check how many points I have now?

I took the test, I am unmarried and do not work or study in Canada. My score came as 381, I guess that is not enough? How can I improve my profile?

Thank you for links! I have post graduate degree + 4 years experience. But even with high ILETS score I don't reach 440. I guess I either need job in Canada ( very difficult) or Province nomination?
