Hi guys,
I am a graphic designer, i have a work offer from a business in Canada.
The owner is my friend, he has no idea or time to do all the necessary arrangements for a work permit.
I surfed around the net but it's really complicated and i don't want to make any mistakes.

I wonder if any of you can help me with the process, where to start?
I imagine there are a lot of forms to get, i don't have the money to pay someone
to do it for me so i will have to do it on my one, if anyone here can help me with the process
i will be more than helpful!!
Thank you..

Your friend must apply for an LMO at the hsrdc with $270 there-about.
If he is given a positive LMO,this will be sent to you with the contract
and you will then apply accordingly to Canadian embassy for work permit
in your country.
Without LMO and contract from your friend, you can't apply for a work
permit.
Thanks
Sam

forgot to mention i'm in Canada right now. Can i do the process from here or do i need to return to my country for that??

It depends on the Visa you are on.
Secondly,I will suggest you walk to
the immigration centre within your
province where you can get free counselling
about your situation.
Thanks

Right now, on a tourist visa.
Thank you, i will, i just rather be prepared ahead with as much information as i can.
I know that these kind of things are very complicated and every mistake can be a major setback.

You should know that there is no walk in service at CICs anymore. From www.cic.gc.ca

You can only go to these offices to:

submit a refugee claim
attend an immigration or a citizenship interview
take the citizenship test
attend a citizenship ceremony

These offices are not open to the public. Once your application has been received and reviewed, CIC will decide if an appointment is necessary. If so, CIC will contact you to schedule an appointment.

Hi Guys, I got a quote from a well known company to do the process for me
and it's about 5,000$ !!!

1,500$ a month for advertising, to prove that the company have tried to get someone from canada to do the job but couldn't
about 200$ Government fee for the LMO
another 200$ fee for my work permit request
probably some other costs
and than they're service is 3000$ for managing the whole thing.. i guess.

anyways i'm about to give up if there's no way to do this myself without spending all of this money...

Yes, you can place the advert yourself at workinginCanada website.
If Canadians and those with PR didn't response to your advert, you
can then justify that you had no response but people overseas responded.

From there, you can apply for a positive LMO at the HRSDC office for the
applicant. You will send the LMO and the contract to the potential applicant
for work permit and or TRV(If applicable) at the applicant home Canadian embassy.

Hope this will help.

Thanks
