hi,
i plan to come to canada with my family in sometime. once i reach canada i plan to do my PR formalities only. i plan to return after a months time with my family to my home country. i was just wondering that since i become landed immigrant do i need to take a visa for returning back to my home country (India) from canada. Also i have already booked my return tickets online. is there anything that would be a hinderance at the canadian or Indian airport while returning.

Hi, you wont be needing visa to go back to India. Because you will be still using your INDIAN PASSPORT.
No hindrance at all !! Enjoy ur landing ..!!

Since you become the landed immigrants, your Permanent Resident (PR) Card is your future entry visa to Canada. Of course as SATDXB said you need your Indian passport also with PR to come back to Canada.
Remember PR card has the expiry, so you have to entire Canada before expiry date
