Express entry scores are determined on a scale of 0-600 without a provincial nomination or employment offer.

What I think you are referring to is the old system which required 67 points I believe to qualify. In order for you to get a better idea of how you will do in the new express entry system, take any of the free crs assessment tools online and that will give you your EE score. If you can score above 400, you can qualify for a provincial nomination and with a score of 450+ you have a shot at an ita in the near to medium future without needing to depend on a provincial nomination, at least based on the draws so far.

You need to qualify for two sets of points -

1) Express entry

2) A skilled worker program - Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), is one of three - but the one you are most likely speaking of.

To qualify for FSW, you need 67 points, and it sounds like you qualify with 74 pts.

But now, you need to see if you qualify for Express entry, too -

The process is a 2 stage process -
1) Submit your EE application ("Expression of Interest")
If you meet the criteria, your application will be entered into a pool of candidates.

Then, you have to wait to see if CIC will give you an "Invitation to Apply," and this is based on your EE Comprehensive Ranking Score. There are draws approximately twice a month. So far, invitations have been issued to people with scores ~ 450 or more. This is the part that Andre_Smol was talking about.

If you get an ITA, then - stage 2 - you submit your application for the FSW Program.

no hope with this score in near future. as they have to keep it high in order to maintain some credibility of their program in world market.

so better you improve your score or else there is no hope.

try to look into some programs like sinp, nsnip or peinp if you meet their criteria. if yes then you can think of pnp to get 600 points. or try to improve ielts score or any other score.

no not at all.


for express entry eligibility your noc code should be in NOC 0, A or B.

it doesn't matter if you have 0121 or 0122 noc code.

My immigration advisor told me that my total points are 74 with spouse.he said u have bright chance in coming 6 months,u should apply.
Then i searched and calculated from crs calculater that i have got only 364 points.

buddy immigration advisor are money sucking machine.

they just want your fees then they will never contact you unless you contact them.


i already told you ways to increase your points or to apply pnp if you meet any province criteria.

there is no other way.

and yes 74 points or 100 points doesnt matter as the main thing matter in EE is points that you have from 1200.

this 74 points is just fsw eligibility which is used as a criteria to validate by visa officer.

as from 2015 rules changed due to EE in effect,
