Hello,
My consultant sent the covering letter with wrong employment duties (Spouse employment), along with my applcation. I had recieved my AOR in Mar 2011. Presently I understand Hong Kong BIQ is processing applications from the second half of 2010, so I guess I have a few months to rectify this error.

Can any one provide any options I can pursue; I think I should prepare a revised Cover letter with the correct details and send it to Hong Kong. My consultant says that, spouse details are not very important and keep waiting assuming that the wrong part on the cover letter will not be read.

Also, Though I am represented by my consultant, can I send the revised Cover letter to Hong Kong, by myself.

Please advise on options I can pursue. at the earliest

Thanks
PKMCL

They should have a fax number -- it's always good to talk with your consultant (representative) first, then to fax the correct letter to the HK office, asking for confirmation of receipt. You should act immediately.

I had a word with my consultant. He said spouse details would not be considered and it's better to leave it alone (than to expose the error) as it is an area will not contribute to the points for the QSW program. I am still a bit confused onwhat to do..I see you landed in Canada this month..congrats..Can you share any questions during the interview just to understand what I can expect..Thanks

Better safe than sorry. You cannot fool Canadian agents, nor should you under the auspices of your consultant. In my opinion, since it doesn't have any effect, the wisest move to make is to actually contact the office to offset the lapse.

Thanks for your advice. am sending them a covering letter stating that while scrutinising my documents I came across the wrong information in the specfic part of the cover letter, which was submitted by mistake; to disregrd them and consider the revised information which I have attached now.

I am planning to fax them, and post the original documents.

Also, I went through a consultant; Is it ok that I sent this amendment to them by myself?

Thanks

Would it cause any isues with BIQ Hng Kong, if I sent the revised coevr letter directly from my end, that via my consultant..who had forwarded my documents initially

Well, I think that if you have your application number, you might as well fax a letter yourself, signed and all. But it's alright to insist on having your consultant send it. After all, he's your employee in this case.
