Help regarding Passport

I have my renewed Passport at present.

I have lost my old passport which is expired..

is it necessary that one should have old passport while applying for study permit visa.

Plz help me out as my file is ready to submit and i don't have old passport.
suggest any other ways if possible.

the passport numbers of old passport written on the passport must be enclosed with the file. otherwise vo think something is fishy he might be deported or was involved in the in any other country. Perhaps thats why he didnt enclosed the old passport.
