We received an email that contains two pdfs with these statements:

The first pdf:

“This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the Live-in Caregiver Class. We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in ____will contact you concerning your permanent resident status. You are responsible for ensuring that the valid passports and other required documents of your family members abroad are sent to our visa office in ____. Please be advised that a second letter will be sent to you with further instructions.”

The second one saying that:

“The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. Your accompanying family member(s) must complete the following steps within 30 days after you have attended your landing appointment in order for our office in _____ to facilitate the issuance of permanent residence visas for your accompanying family member(s).”

Is this already the PPR or are we going to receive another email? What should we do now? Wait for the landing appointment of our prinincipal applicant? Other families that I know sent their PPR even before the landing appointment. Help please. Thank you!

I did Outland Common-law (US)
and I didn't receive the First one, if you didn't do any type of application for 'caregiver' Pr, I'd assume it was an accident.
I got the second pdf you received as well and yes, it is your PPR
it should explain how and what to submit as well as filling out the form a the end of the pdf.

Thank you for your response. Did yours also state that you need to complete the steps mentioned in the letter within 30 days after the letter was sent or 30 days after the Principal Applicant attended her landing appointment? And if yours stated that you need to accomplish it 30 days after the Principal Applicant attended her landing appointment, does this mean that we need to wait for an email first from them re: schedule of landing appointment before we submit our passport? Thank you!

Let me copy paste what mine said.
Mine never mentioned a landing appointment, but it did mention finishing the steps within 30 days.

" Dear Mason....,

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform us immediately with details concerning your situation.

STEP 1: UPDATE YOUR APPLICATION

(If none of these conditions apply to you, you may proceed to STEP 2)

Have there been any changes in your life circumstances since our last correspondence?

 Change in marital status: Marriage or common-law union, divorce, annulment, legal separation;

 Death of the sponsor, the principal applicant or any accompanying family member;

 Birth or adoption of a child, including grandchildren born to dependent children;

 You, the principal applicant, or any of your family members have been charged or convicted of a criminal offence.

If any of the conditions apply, you must inform CPC Mississauga via the Case Specific Enquiry form at the following link: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

STEP 2: DETERMINE IF YOU NEED TO SUBMIT YOUR PASSPORT(S)

 Determine if you are holder of passport(s) from countries whose citizens need a visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to travel to Canada, by checking this website: "

Oh. Okay. Maybe ours is different from yours because my mom is already in canada and she is “petitioning” or sponsoring us to be permanent residents too. Thank you for your response.
