Help pls baby's processing time???

Hello everybody can somebody please guide me whats the processing time for baby born in Pakistan to a Canadian parent, how long does it take to get the limited validity passport??

My visa office is Islamabad !

Have you applied for baby's citizenship yet? You would need this first before you can apply for passport. If so, it normally take 20 to 30 business days not including mailing etc. time varies between the different offfices. Which office in Pakistan?

I ve applied for both together in Islamabad.

Ok processing times are different for both.. They will do the citizenship first which usually takes Up to 12 months. (depending on the VO, I applied late last year and it took 6 months, someone applied this year and they now say 12 months but different VO)

Then after they have done that, they done the passport which takes 20 to 40 business days..

your child already citizen. you can apply for his Pak passport and canadian passport as well.. there is no issue.. you just apply for proof of citizenship through canadian embassy ISB and they will deliver your citizenship certificate with in 8 months. after that you can easily apply for passport. passport processing time 4 weeks.. in mean time if your wife PR case finalized u can apply for emergency canadian passport for your child.. (you just need to provide them ticket copy)

if there will be any problem in emergency passport. the embassy will stamp facilitation visa on your child Pak passport.
i got my child passport after 11 months. whole process took 11 months.

TO get Canadian passport is it mandatory tht I should have PR visa?

yes i submitted original citizen certificates at the time of passport application submission.

for urgent passport you must have the reason. before a year when i called islamabad embassy for my child urgent passport they told me that apply with citizenship application and please write the application for reason for urgent passport and ticket copy. at that time my wife case was in process so i decided to apply only for citizenship.
