I came to the Philippines on November 2016 to get married on January 7 2017 to my wife with whom I've been in a relationship to for 18 months BEFORE our marriage (so 23 months this June altogether and counting). I'm sponsoring my spouse and I'm also a Canadian citizen. I haven't returned yet to Canada since I came here and I've been living with my spouse only since after our marriage. I'm using my Canadian passport priviledges to stay here for a year (would that be considered a tourist visa?). I'm planning to wait for her until her PR gets approved. With that in context, we're having trouble defining if I am "exclusively living outside Canada" because the answers we gave to the following questions on the application form (IMM5532 Relationship...Evaluation) might reflect that. I do have my ties to Canada such as insurance I'm paying for and filed tax returns. I have no property but I do have family members who would allow our stay with them when we go to Canada. I have to ask
