Hello All,

I'm a bit confused and need your guidance as to how my partner and I can go about this issue.

My partner and I are thinking of migrating to Canada from the Philippines. He and I have been together since December of 2011 and currently have two kids. We consider ourselves as married by all aspects except legally. The issue here is he is legally married and has not yet been able to process his separation from his ex-wife because they have no contact with each other. He was married to her in 2006 and they physically separated in 2008. The ex-wife has then severed all contact with him and he has no idea on their whereabouts and how to go about contacting her. They also have a child together whom he has not seen or heard from since their separation in 2008.

Now, we would like to know if immigration to Canada is still possible for him and our family or if this complication would have us be denied immediately?

And if we do have a chance on migrating to Canada, what are the documents that may be required so we can have them prepared and ready for submission?

I would be really grateful to anyone who helps.
