I applied for a study permit last year and got it with an expiry date of 31st December 2014. Now I'm in Canada, so I applied again for extension of study permit some time ago. I got my study permit extended but I am confused as I cannot travel outside Canada since the visa (Stamped on my Passport) is also about to expire in a few days. What do I have to apply for to travel outside Canada. Also I checked for the TRV (Temporary Resident Visa), if that's what I need to apply to get the visa stamped on my passport and to be able to travel outside Canada, then there are two ways to apply for it. The one which says apply online takes me to an application for a visitor visa. Is it the same thing as TRV? Can I apply online for it? The other process is through paper document, and that application is specifically for TRV and that application will be directed to the "Case Processing Centre: Ottawa, Ontario" instead of CIC. And both these applications are different since the paper application is more complex as compared to the online one. And also the application forms differ. So it's all too confusing. Please help out.
