Hi,

Since you have already landed in Canada,

1. If you have already opened a Bank Account in Canada, you may check with your Local Bank in Pakistan for a Funds Transfer
2. Both Telegraphic Transfer and Demand Draft are possible and you would need to give the required inputs to your Local Bank in Pakistan for issuing either of the modes.
3. Local Pakistan Banking Regulations may apply for transferring funds to Accounts outside the Country. Please check with your Local Bank in Pakistan and comply accordingly.

Agreed with NVLN...

However, I would go for DD...

anyone else with who made the DD and what are the advantage of choosing DD and not to choose TT.

Hi Pakistan2012,

DD is better - you can take a photocopy of the same and retain for your records. In addition, you may want to track with your Bank, to see when it gets encashed (if the DD is payable in the Foreign Location, then it may not be possible to track - check this with your Bank).
