Help needed: Refused to get Experience letter from my company

Hi all,

Me and my wife are in a process for applying my Spousal Canada PR in the next few weeks. Today, i asked my company to give experience letter for my file but they refused and said that they will not give me any letter. Now what should I do?
My colleagues are suggesting me to resign and then get the letter, now i am confused. If i resign from my company and then apply for spousal PR after getting the required document from the company, will there be any problems with the spousal PR application? Kindly help.

the first time I hear that you need some kind of letter. my husband didn’t take any letters, moreover, you are not obliged to work if you want to sponsor your wife without children, you must prove that your financial situation is stable.

Thanks for replying. My wife is going to sponsor me who is PR in Canada. That means if i resign there won't be any problem in processing my application?
We don't have any children.

you are PA? no of course! i know many women who didn`t work
You must notify via the web form that you have stopped working. But I don’t understand why you need a letter? i'm PA. and I didn’t take any letters from the employer. For my country, only a copy of the work book is needed. Read the document requirements for your country again!

What is PA? Of course i will update it in the form. What is written in the workbook?

Yes I'm PA. Me or my company doesn't have employment history book, but i have ID card, salary slips, appointment letter, job offer letter when I joined the company and promotion letter etc. Will those work?
