Hi guys,

I really need your help. I just got my post-graduate work permit visa, and my student visa is still valid until next year. If I want to travel outside Canada and come back, do I need to get a new visa as a worker first? Or am I good to re-enter the country with my student visa?

Thanks for reading this, your answer is appreciated.

No, you are fine with your TRV as long as it is valid.

Please, what was your College program lenght and for how long your PGWP was issued.

not sure you will ever get a response from a 2 year old post plus the guidelines are pretty clear . A course 8-23 months would qualify for PgWP equivalent to the months of course. A course 24 months or more could qualify for a 3 year PGWP. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-postgrad-who.asp PGWps are like all permits never guaranteed either to be issued or in length.

Deciding on a course as the basis to get a PGWP seems an odd way to go about things if the course is not relevant to anything given being relevant would decide if you got a study permit in the first place.
