Help Needed - Queries regarding with Passport of my family and me also.

Hello All Members & Seniors.

Need your valuable response on this:

I am preparing to apply Canada immigration in 2015 (Express Entry). I have a query that i am married with 1 child and i have my passport issued before marriage and there is no spouse name mentioned on it but i have registered our marriage and got the marriage certificate from marriage registrar, my spouse and child never applied for the passport.

Actually i wanted to ask you:

1) It is necessary to have the passport of my wife and child as my intention is to migrate to Canada first as the principal applicant without my family but i am including them in my application only, not accompanying them to Canada with me.

2) It is necessary to add the spouse name in my passport as i have marriage certificate to proof my marriage.
3) It is necessary to apply for the child passport as i have her birth certificate with parents name mentioned to proof as my child.

Please help me to resolve this its very less time is remaining to apply for 2015. I have completed my ECA from WES just waiting for the above points to clear......Its my kind request to all of you please advise me on this as soon as possible.

Thanks for your immediate response, what do you mean by the fresh documents you mean to apply for my spouse and child's passports ? and also to include the name of my spouse in my passport ? And what do you mean by the short cut.................I didn't get you i am sorry.

If yes then is this mandatory ? Actually i want to save time for this to ignore (Applying spouse and child passport & including the spouse name on my passport (i have also to re-issue my passport if i want to add the spouse name on it)).

You must fill in the details of your spouse's and children's valid passports, birth certificates, etc. even if they will not accompany you to Canada at first. You must also supply the background declaration and family information forms and police certificates for your wife even if she will not accompany you.

CIC conducts background checks on all applicants including their spouses and adult children. If you want to be able to sponsor your spouse and children later on, you need to supply all the information now.

You will also need proof of funds for your full family, not the amount required for a single applicant.

If you intend for your family to join you in Canada within 3 years, you should consider include them as accompanying. They can land in Canada and then return home, as long as they move to Canada within 3 years of becoming PRs. This will save you the trouble of needing to sponsor them.
