Hi,

I am landing in may in windsor,ontario.

Please suggest me things which i should carry along with me from India.
also specify which clothes should i carry with me??
is clothing expensive in canada??
and what about jackets for winters? for how much CAD do they cost??

Thanks!

Generally, US clothes are cheaper than Canada. Shop across in the US before you enter Windsor.

hey!
I am coming from India on a student visa!
so what things should i carry from here.

Clothes are branded in Canada and perhaps much better quality but prices are also high like you cant find a good jacket cheaper than 100 to 150 Dollars.Same applies for shoes etc.
If you plan to cook bring traditional Indian cooker.

Cocknbull started a great thread about bringing appliances to Canada. It is well worth reading. You can pick up winter clothing at many discount places like the big stores as well as Thrift Shops. Coming as you are in May, the weather will be lovely and you do not have to worry about bulky winter coats until the Fall. If you already have cold weather clothing that you love, ship it as cheaply as you can, otherwise the costs of additional baggage will quickly devour any savings you hope to make by bringing them. You should be able to find new winter coats in the range of $150-300, boots around $100.

@ummi - thanks!! :)

@pippin - thanks a lot for the info! can you share the threadlink you mentioned.Please :)

That's incorrect to some extent.

In outlet stores of those Canadian brand names, you can get at bargain prices like 50 to 100 dollars. Same applies for accessories, etc.
