Hi members,

I am May 2013 applicant and have got email "ready for visa". I did upfront medicals and as per GCMS notes, these are valid till Nov 2014.

Three weeks back, we came to know my wife is expecting with twins and doctor has suggested her not to travel till end.

As per my understanding, visa is issued only till expiry of Medicals. I am now confused what to do.

- Can i some how inform CIC to issue visa till dec, is this possible?
- Also, Can i travel alone now and do landing and my wife can do later?
- What if she is not able to do landing before expiry of her visa with new born.

Please suggest if any one came across same situation.

First thing is to contact CIC - you implied that at least your wife is out of the country - if so and your children are not to be born in canada, you will need to add them to your application - which must be done before landing. If your wife is able to fly during the first trimester, which most, including twin carriers, can then you should both land and give birth in Canada.
First step though is to contact CIC and send a letter from your doctor confirming the upcoming birth - you can email it.
