Hello,
I am a Canadian citizen and was working abroad for a long period of time. I arrived back in Canada in January 2016 and am in the process of sponsoring my wife now. We have two boys who are already citizens.
I currently am looking for jobs in the market matching my career experience but have not found one as yet. Also I am not eligible for the tax return criteria as yet since I came in January and will submit my tax return the next year. Therefore, I will not be able to get the Option-C letter as a support document for my spouse sponsorship. I do, however, have enough saved that I have been able to put enough funds in my bank account in Canada.
Can I show bank account statements as evidence that I will be fully capable of supporting my wife when she gets here. Is there any other way for me to prove this also ?
Please give genuine advice.
Thanks,
FH
