hi everybody! my medical will soon expire this September 07, 2013 and still no words from CEM! ecas still shows "Application Received".. NO PPR YET also... we already emailed them last Aug. 5 regarding my medical that will soon expire and accdg to the reply they said that my application is still within the processing standard.. Application Received last Feb.20,2013.. SA March 25,2013.. sigh don't know what to do anymore

we are in the same situation. Actually my husband's med had expired on the 14th of this month and I sent them an email about it early this month but they never replied to me. He attempted to go to the embassy to follow it up but as expected, he was not let in. Well, I just hope they won't make him redo the meds...Afterall, the delays are caused by this pafso strike.

true to that! but atleast in your husband's case, his passport is already at the CEM based from your timeline.. mine, still no words from them so its really frustrating.. i guess they will extend the validity of your husband's medical coz ur just waiting for his visa to arrive..

Very frustrating, indeed. I asked my MP to follow it up for me. Per MP, "everything has been checked and is just awaiting for an officer". Sana nga matapos na tong strike na to. They have his passport for almost 2 mos now

asked hubby to call his MP but he said we still have to wait.. but we both agreed maybe by Sept. if there is still no signs of ppr, he will follow up and call his MP.. hayssss ;(((

Between 12 and 15 month after the medical exams where done, the VO can ask in your behalf for the medical files validity to be prolonged if that's the only thing that prevents him to issue the visa. That request may be approved, denied or partially approved. If it's approved, they will tell you nothing. If it's denied, they will ask for a re-do of the medical exams. If it's partially approved, they will ask you to retake just some of the exams.

If the medical reports expire before your file goes into process. the VO will definitely ask for new medical exams as soon as the processing begins.

thanks for the info.. yah im sensing ill be doing a remedical soon coz my papers are still in a Application Received status.. what bothers me the most is that, accdg to some threads, if ur doing a remedical, it will again prolong the processing of your papers..

e-cas is not the most reliable source for informations about your file. why don't you ask for your gcms notes?

Hello!
My husbands medicals expired beginning of july. I emailed the VO asking them if he should re-do them and they replied saying " at this time we have all the papers we require and there is nothing else on your part. Please do not do anything until you receive instructions from us for anything else that we might need". So i dont know if they extended them or if theyre gonna ask for them to be re-done later on

Then they have until the beginning of October to ask for the extension. The VO is not granting the extension, they have to ask for it at the Regional Medical Office (RMO).

I sure hope so we sent in his arc 2 mnths ago and we figured the passport request would be next but this damn strike is prolonging everything

is your VO MANILA? what site did you emailed them? can you please post it here.. i used the portal(case enquiry) last time and obviously its computer generated response since my application is within the standard processing.. thanks

No his app is in mexico city. I went on the mexico.gc.ca website and under the immigration sectionthere was an email address that i have sent all of my inquiries and gotten replies. So maybe you should check the manilla website and hopefully the email address is there
