Dear Seniors,
Just now i calculated my CRS through this link https://www.canadavisa.com/comprehensive-ranking-score-calculator.html and it shows 818 points. So can i able to apply PR through express entry or CEC. My NOC code is B.But my ielts score is just CLB 5.I am currently working in canada and i have job offer and LMIA.
I would be really appreciated if someone could response my concern.

Just re-take IELTS and get your score up to a 6 or higher, apparently there are online practice tests you can do? In my opinion IELTS isn't a fair test of language anyway, it's more about memory and problem solving although obviously a firm grasp of the English language is also required.

Thanks Mikee for your advised.I am planning to retake again.I am poor in reading module but others are fine. Can you please give idea how to get good score in reading or send me some links if you do have.

Sorry, I'm a native English speaker so I don't have any resources for improving your score. I guess just practice reading in English and perhaps some of the none native English applicants have some resources they can share.

if so it is not a problem at all , there are some training institution designed for them , just google it, you can find a bunch of them.

some of them guarantee you can pass after their course. but just need money ...

or if you have time, try learning by yourself firstly, google can find material you want , easy , fast ... Basically there are some simulation test example you can find , they release year after year.

Thanks for your response.I will do definitely and also everyday I am giving practice test too.

Good luck , there are both IELTS and CELPIP , you may can consider another , if one of them is not comfortable for you .

exactly as yixiaop26 suggested - perhaps try the CELPIP instead? Some people find they do better on one test over the other?

No harm in retaking the IELTS either, many people manage to improve their scores...

If you're applying EE CEC with LMIA your CLB 5 should be OK for a NOC B

Create your EE profile ASAP and see if EE says you're elegible for CEC.

With 600+ you don't need to worry about CLB 5.

Canadian Experience Class
The skills you need will depend on the group the job is classified in under the National Occupational Classification system (NOC). You must meet the minimum level for all four language abilities.

If your skilled work experience in Canada is in a

NOC 0 or A job, the minimum level is CLB 7 (English) or NCLC 7 (French).
NOC B job, the minimum level is CLB 5 (English) or NCLC 5 (French).
