my application was refused twice, because of my rep. who didnt file it properly now iam doing it by myself, I am about to send my application to cio, in schedule 1(background/declaration) Q.no.9,do i have to tick yes for the question (previously sought refugee status in canada or applied for a canadian iimigrant or permanant visa?), and the following question (been refused rufugee status in,or an immigrantor permanant visato canadaorany other country, or been refused refused to quebec?, seniors kindly guide me.

is - cio rejected application and "visa" refused - same thing?

my first application to cio was wrongfully filed with USD instead of CAD (at that time only CAD used to be accepted). I applied second time but I didn't mention anything.

"visa refused" is of more severe thing. like once one of my friends' visa was refused because he could not convince of his work experience to travel as a busniess professional. another of my friend's visa was "refused" because he could not produce the proofs of filing tax returns in the same country he visited in past.

depends upon - what was the reason that cio returned ur application?

when cio returns application for some formal reasons, they state that the candidate can apply again and no records of their current (rejected) application being kept... etc

it may not harm to check yes and then explain like "my representative forgot to sign herself" (whaetever the reason maybe). But it does not weigh enough to raise a flag. depending upon ur reasons....
