Iam a foreign student who is graduating from Toronto University this year. I have lived in Canada for 4 years and this is my 5th year.Please kindly guide as what would be my next step after grauduation as in interms of what visa i need to apply for so i can start working in canada as my aim is to get permenant residence of Canada. Your assiatnce will be much appreaicted.Please help or advise who can guide me or where i can go for assitance in this matter regards silver409
 
You have to do it through employment and that depends on your field, I think Torotno and the market is bad though. Even Canadian grads are finding little job prospects, but again this depends on field of study.
 
If you don't have an off campus work permit already, apply for one now. The off campus permit will allow you to work up to 20 hrs. a week during the semester and full time on holidays so you can start looking for a job along with your studies.

After you graduate you can apply for a post grad work permit but the off campus permit will allow you to start working full time while you are waiting for it.

If you have a hard time finding a job in Toronto, just go somewhere else. It is important that you use your post-grad permit to get a skilled job. Do not waste your time with a low skilled job.

If you work full time in a skilled position for one year, you can apply for PR under Canadian experience class.
