Bad news :( Due to some issues, my passport issuance has got delayed. At max, I can get it by Oct 1st week. I have prepared the following worst-case scenario timeline for my application process. Please give your expert opinions whether its OK or not. All dates are approximations -

New Passport Issued ~ 1st week of Oct
Get Medical done + Apply for CAQ ~ 15th Oct
Apply to get date for TOEFL/IELTS ~ 16th Oct
Get CAQ result ~ Nov 1
Give TOEFL/IELTS ~ 1st week of Nov
Get TOEFL/IELTS Result ~ 20 Nov
Apply for Visa at VFS/CHC Delhi ~ 25th Nov

My session starts Jan 7th 2013. Am I in trouble? Should I submit without IELTS/TOEFL? I can't say what will happen in the future but I just wanted to get a realistic view on the scenario. And I'm getting pretty worried with my passport issue too!! :(

I am already admitted for Jan 2013. As the Ecole Polytechnique (UdeM) is French, no IELTS was required for admission. But its 'strongly recommended' in Visa application.

If it strongly recommended then go with ur time line, but keep in mind that CAQ takes more than 20 days...And try to take IELTS a little earlier ...hopefully you will get ur visa in time...

Thanks for the reply momi. I can only give IELTS after I get my passport. AFAIK, the CAQ is usually issued 4-5 day after they receive the docs. So in all, its around 14 days I think and 20 at max. I have also got a letter from my professor highlighting my English proficiency. If for some wild reason I can't give IELTS, is it wise to send my application with that?

If u have applied for ur passport and the police verification had completed, then you can go to the passport office and show them ur emergency for pp.they will grant you with in few weeks

Thanks. Police verification is done and I've already talked to the Asst Passport Officer. He was kind and said he'll do it. I can't say if he's really gonna expedite anything or not :)

Its from my previous university professor who was my guide for my dissertation. I'll go for it as my last resort. Thanks :)
