Friends I have couriered my documents to CIC , Canada. Just want to know how will CIC inform me about my application as i have just sent document and No on-line registration.

Short Answer they wont. Usually people find the status of their application by checking if their DD / Credit card has been charged or cashed. If anything is wrong you will get your entire application package returned to you. So no news is good news. Once you are past a certain stage, after around 3-4 months they will send you an email telling you that your application is acceptable and then they will be in touch with you via email and web portal.

You can contact CIC and request an update but dont do that unless you didnt hear from them after 4 months.
