Help in filling CAIPS form

Hello everybody


I need help in filling CAIPS form, please.

What do we have to click in section B -

Electronic file then PR

or

Physical file then PR

I only have UCI number starting with E, what is client ID number and file number?

I submitted file to CIA, Nova Scotia in April 2010. my VO is ND.

What do I need to write in Location - CIA, Nova Scotia or NDVO


Also in Authorization form Section 3 Name of the office where application was submitted - Is it CIO, NS ?
Location of office - ND or Nova

Only ask for the electronic form. If you ask for the physical copy, it requires they pull your file and make a copy of it which can impact the processing time of your application. I've done that once - when I didn't care about the processing time delay - and it took about 2.5 months to get the copy on a CD-ROM. The electronic notes come in roughly 30 days and are roughly 30 days old (that is, they don't tell you what has happened to your file in the past month).

If your file was forwarded to ND, then ask for the notes from there, since that will have the information that you want. Your UCI should be sufficient to find your file, but of course if you have an AOR with a file number you can include that as well.

But as in SECTION 3 of AUTHORIZATION FORM

they ask
NAME OF OFFICE APP WAS SUBMITTED - i submitted it at CIA how can I fill ND ?
LOCATION OF OFFICE - it has to be NOVA not ND

and number starting with B (xxxxxxx) is file number?

Its confusing!!

To be honest, it won't matter what you put there in general (either office) because the key for the ATIP folks is the file number (that number starting with B) - that is how they will find your file in the computer. If you ask for computer notes, that's all they are going to send you in any case.
