Please, I applied in 2014 for the Canada Federal Skilled Worker programme as principal applicant, but the application had some issues because the agent I used suggested that I include some information which I could not defend when I was called for interview in Ghana last year.
Anyway, I was banned from applying or entering their country for 5 years for misrepresentation of facts and all that.
But what I want to know is if my wife can apply as principal applicant while I serve my five-year ban. And if my unsuccessful application would not in anyway jeopardise the fresh application.
Can she apply as principal applicant for the family? I want to know if my being banned for 5 years does not stop my wife and children from applying and being granted permission to enter Canada while I wait to join them after five years?
I will appreciate information about this and I will appreciate if people who comment will also state how sure they are when they make their comments.
Thank you very much.

I don't recall having read anything on the CIC website, or within the application itself, that suggests that your wife would be disqualified because of your ban.
But I've also never heard of anyone being in this situation before.

Even if you are non-accompanying, you must still be included in the app. All family members included in an app must be admissible to Canada in order for the PR app to be approved. As you are currently inadmissible, your entire family is inadmissible, so the app would be refused.

Thanks for correcting me; that's good to know.
