Guys my study permit says that I'm in Canada for a post secondary program and now after pursuing a program for one semester, I've withdrawn from the post secondary diploma(Advanced Diploma) and am planning to get admitted to a diploma program!!

My question is will there be any problem if I transfer to a Diploma program while my study permit says I'm in for an Post Secondary Diploma!!!??

People who already know the answer may sure think the question's stupid, but I dont want to take any chances now!

I'm asking all this in context for my work permit/ any other problem you might know about!

Sorry for the confusing post, I'm all mixed up right now :( :/

1. If proposed diploma is below post-secondary level, apply to change conditions in your SP/Application IMM 5709

You mean to say there will be cahnges to the visa/ study permit!!?????

You're making me nervous man!!! What if they deny me a study permit?????

Let me repeat it all again clearly:

I want to transfer from a 3 year Advanced Diploma to a 2 year diploma and I have already wiothdrawn from the Advanced Diploma Program and am waiting for Sept. admissions to start.

Hope that clears the confusion, if any.

Thanks again!!

no need to change anything as far as I can say...I did that too.....but to be on the safer side what does your study permit say under "Field of study"....also you should consider what would your explanation be for the gap period that you will be having in future in case a question arises on it..

post secondary is anything after grade 12... so regardless of what kind it is, as long as its post secondary, you should be fine

Guys i also have same query.

Right now i am in Pakistan and i will be in Canada after 2 month for may intake at university for MBA so my question is that

I don't want to study in university because i want to go saskatchewan SIAST college for basic certificate course but the classes will be start on september then what should i do?

Should i stay here in Pakistan and then go for September session?

or should i go for may session for university and drop my classes and then wait until September come?

please guys help me.. my ultimate aim to study at saskatchewan just for the PR purpose...
