I will be the principal applicant and counting the points, we only need my wife's language points.

The wife's ECA will be ready around the 25th of February. But since we think we have enough points, should we get into the pool now and get ITA then update later or wait for the wife's ECA?

Since we don't need her ECA it means we will answer no to her education and her work since no points claimed. Is that going to be a problem later when we will add her ECA to her personal history docs? It's like lying

Does having the highest CRS score possible somehow contribute to a faster processing of our APR?

I don't want to miss 19th Feb draw and waste time that's is all.

Thanks

You could still add your wife's education. There's an option when putting in credentials to say if you have an ECA or not. Just answer no for now, it's not lying if it's the truth, just update it when you get the ECA.

I don't think having a higher crs equals faster processing but I'd be interested if anyone knows different.

Agree with you in regards to the ECA, just put no and then change.

And no, a higher CRS doesn't mean faster processing.

How about work experience for the spouse? Could I say she has no work at all and add everything regarding her work experience after ITA no problem?

It is always better to enter now, because in case of a tie break decision will be made on seniority. With cutoffs being this high every little thing will matter. I entered the pool with 446 last march and my 3 years of work ex was due to be completed in november, once i completed my 3 years of work ex, i updated my profile and my score became 471, i was invited in the next draw where the score was 471 only because i was in the pool for 8 months.

Yes I agree. The only problem is that WES is promising to send the spouse report by the 24/2 and I don't want to miss the next draw since it seems we will have enough points without spouse ECA. Officers may think it's weird because if we get ITA we will have ECA by then and it'll definitely be uploaded with our application
