help filling out application to change conditions of stay while waiting for PR!!

Hi guys! My PR app is all completed and ready to send on Monday! Woohoo! So nice to have that thing finally done¬

I'm going to be filling out the forms to change my status from IEC worker to a visitor while I wait for it all to be processed. Can you help me with a few questions? This feels like the last stage and then no more forms!!

It says I can apply online but I think I'm going to have difficulty with that with the number of forms to upload etc, so I'm going to do it by paper.

I know I include the following:
Document Checklist [IMM 5558]
Application to Change Conditions, Extend my Stay or Remain in Canada as a Visitor or Temporary Resident Permit Holder [IMM 5708]

But what else do I include? Do I have to include the proof of payment online? Do I have to write a letter explaining why I want to stay? Do I include a copy of the receipt I had emailed when I paid for the PR application? Do I get my partner to write a letter saying she will support me financially and to include a copy of her employment letter and her recent T4? Where exactly do I say how much extra time I will need? (I'll need to request about 10 months as the LONDON VO is currently taking about 9 months)

Also, on form IMM 5558, what do I say for the following questions?
Document number of current permit - what is my number? I cant find it on my IEC thing?
Purpose of visit? Do I put tourism, or other and write "to visit my common-law partner while my application for PR is processing"or something?
Funds available? Do I put my funds or my partners funds?

It doesnt ask anywhere how long I want to stay for, how long my extension will be, or ask any related questions ...

Hello Gary,

I am new here and I am in the same predicament as you are, or maybe you where?. I have the same questions about what else to include on my application to extend my stay in canada as a visitor. I will mail my PR tomorrow and I will also mail the visitor extension application, my question is, did you ever figure out what to send with the application to extend your status as visitor?, I wonder what else to include in mine. If you have any imput I would greatly appreciate it for I have not had any luck with answers anywhere else

Some extra info about me. My visitor permit expires October 30 2013, so I need to send it soon for I heard the processing times are taking a little longer than usual. I am applying with my husband as my sponsor. I will send my PR application tomorrow Monday Sept-09-2013 but before I send it I wanted to see if I send a copy of the receipt for payment for my PR application, proof of funds from my husband or not sure what else, a letter perhaps saying that I am married in canada and want to stay with my husband here while my PR application is in process?..Any help is greatly appreciated. I am in Canada sending my application Inland.
