Hello,
I am from Pakistan, my husband is Canadian PR, we are married for 2 years and we have a daughter. We have been living together in USA. I was on my VISA in USA. I have 3 questions.

1. Does having kids help in cutting down processing time/How long its gonna take in our case?
2. My husband is filing case in Vancouver, BC, Where would be my visa office?
3. Should I get my medical done before submitting the application or the CHC would tell me when to get it done (After receiving the application)?

My daughter is already US citizen, she doesn't need Canadian immigration! Should I send her birth certificate copy or passport copy to proof that Our relationship is genuine and we have a daughter together?

I would appreciate replies on this topic! I am going to file my case soon

Important question is about Medical please reply!

As a PR, your husband cannot sponsor you and your children (including the American citizen child) for permanent residence in Canada unless he is resident in Canada. As long as he is living in the USA with you, he is ineligible to sponsor you, as a requirement of eligibility to sponsor is to be residing in Canada. Only citizens may sponsor their spouses and children while living outside of Canada.

Medicals for family class applications must be done before the application and proof of the medical is submitted with the application. The application must be submitted to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, where sponsors are approved. After that, CPC-M will transfer the application to the visa office that will process your application. If you were admitted to the USA initially for at least a year (for example, you have a student visa or a work permit), then your application can be processed by CPP-Ottawa.

Yes, your American citizen child needs immigration to qualify to live in Canada, by the way. She must become a permanent resident, same as you must.

I am back to my country i.e. Pakistan and my husband is back to Canada and working there!

hi

we are in same boat.. we also use to live in USA my son is also US citizen.. now i am in pak and my husband is in canada.
my husband has filled our case. we have to include our childern in immigration other wise they wont allow us to keep our kids with us in Canada
and ur visa office will be islamabad. but if u still have valid US visa try make ur visa office US because they procees application within 6 month.. but in isl they have long wait time

you are the Principal Applicant...

if someone was sponsoring you and your husband together, than in that case it would have been principal applicant for one of you and spouse of principal applicant for the other one...

but for you, only principal applicant...

1. having kids only proves genuineness of marriage if at all... doesnt necessarily speed up things...
2. as a Pakistani and living in Pakistan, your visa office will be Islamabad
3. Medicals are supposed to be done and included as part of the application package for Pakistani's

Hope this helps, rest as Charlie said above, ur husband as a PR needs to be residing in Canada if he wants to sponsor you...

Being US Citizen doesn't exempt your daughter from getting immigration. She needs to be added as dependent child in the application. Send her birth certificate as proof. but she needs Canadian Immigration just as you do.
