My situation:
I'm a Pakistani who completed a 2 year full time MBA program from the Ontario on June 2015. Shortly I received my Post graduate work permit valid till November 2018. Earlier in that same year, my wife, who was planning on joining me in Canada, had her visa application rejected.
Now, this past week, her second visa application was also rejected. I have not seen my wife in 7 months and do not wish to stay away from her any longer. I am currently facing a dilemma. I want to be with my wife (she is in Pakistan) asap and I also want us to acquire a PR (I have uploaded the express entry profile but only have 454 points). My ideal situation would be to go back to my wife in Pakistan and wait there with her while our application is being processed.
My questions are:
1) Will me being in Pakistan negatively effect my chances for being considered for a provincial nominee program (i'd need that for the extra 600 points)?
2) what's the best strategy you'd recommend that would allow me to be with my wife in Pakistan while at the same time not negatively effect or chances of getting a PR. Would applying for an ONIP instead of Express entry be a better option? If so, can i apply for that from within Pakistan?
Documents that I have:
1) multiple entry Canadian Visa (valid till November 2018)
2) open work permit (valid till November 2018)
This has been a giant cause of stress and I would sincerely appreciate the help and suggestions.
Thank you.
