hi, I just finished a 52 week full time work in Canada and plan to file my application. is there anyone else who is in the same case and got application approved? does CIC ask you about your vacation time or any leave time proof to make sure you have no more than 2 week leave?

Yes. I did. They did not ask me for that. However, I am yet to receive PPR.

Hi

You have to log any travel out of the country on one of the application forms, this means any vacation outside of the country on vacation. The form is IMM5562 – Supplementary Information Your Travels.

It states “List all trips you, and if applicable, your family members have taken outside your country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since your 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training etc. If you or your family member did not travel outside of your country during this period, check “did not travel”. During your 1 year of work in Canada your country of residence is Canada.

Sometimes company pay stubs will show paid vacation separate from regular paid hours. This is the situation in my case. If your stubs show this and you’re submitting them with the application it could become visible to CIC.

Do not lie on your forms.

Thx

Well, they do ask that that information (benefits) be in your Letter of Employment, for starters.

Hi,

I was also in same situation. I crossed the border over the long weekend (i.e. 3 days) but left country on Friday evening (working day) and came back (early morning Tuesday - again a working day). So On paper after completing a year, I sent my package 5 days later. Just got AOR so far.

I thought of not to take chance and simultaneously do not want to loose days from when I become eligible :)...

Wish u luck.
