Dear all:
I am a university lecturer and am applying under the NOC of University Lecturer, for which I qualify perfectly with respect to almost all the requirements. The problem however is that one of the requirements is to have a Masters degree, which I do possess. However, in my country (Pakistan) A two years masters degree can be obtained after a two years bachelors. Together this makes 16 years of education, which is equivalent of the Canadian Bachelors. Now, I do possess one additional bachelors degree of three years also in a subject different to what I teach presently, but it all comes down to what my ECA report will say. My academic credentials (3 years BSC+2 years BA+2 years MA) are under the process of evaluation with IQAS, and if they evaluated it as Canadian Masters, then I am all good. But if my credentials got evaluated as Canadian Bachelors, then I wonder if I can still apply under the NOC of University lecturer?
Then there is this other NOC of College tutors, most of the duties are similar to university lecturers plus that requires only a bachelors degree. But the problem is that my work experience has throughout been that of the University lecturer. Any suggestions and guidance would really be appreciated as to what should I do in case my ECA comes out as Bachelors degree equivalent.
