Hello All!!

I am a little new in this thing of the immigration to Canada, so any advice or idea would be awesome =)

My name is Gustavo, and I am chilean. I have been working as a engineer in a company for 3 months so today they inform me that my probationary period expired and I became permanent :)

I have a work permit that expires aug 2016, so I wanna know what is the best option to extend it. Apply to the provincial program in alberta? Apply to the express entry?? another option??

Any advice or experience from you guys will be wonderful.

Thank you very very much in advance!!

Welcome to the Forum. You will find only helpful people here with a variety of different circumstances and we are all here to help each other.

Step 1: Get an English test and/or French Test
https://www.celpiptest.ca/

Step 2: Get your Education Evaluated
http://learn.utoronto.ca/international-professionals/comparative-education-service-ces

Step 3: Use the 'Come To Canada' tool to determine your CRS score:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/cometocanada.asp

Step 4: Create an Express Entry profile

Based on your score you may or may not get an 'Invitation To Apply' for Permanent Residence under 1 of 3 categories; Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades. You may even qualify for a Provincial Nominee Program certification (depending on the Province you live in).

For Steps (1) and (2), there are other organizations as well, but these are the ones I used.

Anything else please inform me.
