Hello, I have issues regarding VISA

Happy new year everyone,
So I registered in St. Clair College in Feburary 2018 and i got may intake in Office Administration General and Health Services (2 seperate 1 year courses) from 7 May 2018 to 8 August 2019. Actually i got visa but only until 30th of april 2019 but my study is till 31st of august 2019.
When i came here, at immigration toronto pearson, they gave me study permit vaid till 1st october 2019 only meanwhile my other friends, even having same course as me as well as other guy being in comp. tech. Networking, got both visa and study permit till 31 nov. 2019 and their study will complete till 31 August as same as me. Idk why they gave me so less visa but study permit valid till 1 oct only.
So my actual question is, should i apply to extend both? Or just the visa? And how to do it? Do i have to apply online and mail my passport or something or is there any immigration offices in windsor already? Please help, im newbie in these stuffs.
 
The study permit gives you legal status in Canada. The ONLY purpose of the visa is for you to enter Canada. If you will be staying in Canada all the time after April 2019 then there's no need to extend the visa. If you plan to leave Canada after April then come back in, you'll need to apply for a new visa.

Oh is that so, also there is also one misconception given by my retarded agent as he said, i do need a valid visa in order to invite my parents to canada, if i want to do so after april. Is that a myth or actual thing so?

Valid visa, no.

Valid status, yes. While there’s no hard rule about it, it’s pretty dumb for someone without legal status in Canada to write an invitation letter to Canada.
