Hello,

I'm trying to navigate the different healthcare insurances for visitors and/or new immigrants in Canada but am only able to find insurances that solely cover first-time medical emergencies, but whatever the condition that caused the emergency was will not be covered should it occur again. A dreadful example of this is if a child for instance was to have fever cramps requiring hospitalisation, fever cramps is a condition that is likely to happen again after happening once, but if it was to happen again it basically wouldn't be covered. I have searched everywhere for insurance companies via Arbetovinsurance, etc. PS recurrent emergencies are not the same as pre-existing conditions.

I hope to hear from anyone!

Recurrences aren't covered under standard policies. I would recommend you call a large insurer and speak with an agent since this is something more specialized but which they may be able to bolt onto a standard plan. You should of course expect higher premiums for this kind of coverage if you're able to find someone offering it.

Manulife, blue cross, etc. Look online.
Thanks. Any more? Manulife outlines clearly in their policy they won't accept it.
Also, insurance companies will all brag about how big and famous they are so for someone that have no idea it's quite difficult to identify the real ones.

Suggest you do your research and ask when you’ve identified some policies. Would look for global full service medical coverage. As others have commented policies will likely be quite expensive.

my research has shown that neither of these insurance companies will cover recurrent emergencies:
Manulife, destination canada, global assistance allianz, blue cross.

Can anyone recommend me an insurance broker in Toronto area?
