Health insurance from India for Visitor visa holder (already living in Canada)

Hi there,
My parents are already in Canada for more than 1 year now and I need to renew their health insurance. Initially I got the health insurance for them from Canada only but it is very expensive here. I was wondering if I can buy health insurance for them from India while they are living here?

The issue I see here is if the Indian insurer will honour or process the doctor's note and medical bills you presented. You should really read their policy terms and conditions before finalised,,.

It would be tedious to process claims as you will have to still foot all expenses and then claim & run the risk of getting denied
