Hey everyone!

My fiance and I are gonna do a test run through of allt he forms this weekend (I do know how to plan a fun weekend visit, eh? I dislocated my knee so we're kinda stuck here XD)

My question isn't form related, but actually has to do with the final steps. We have a rather uncomplicated situation (American moving to Canada, no criminal history, etc etc) but Im terrified of having the whole thing thrown out because I didnt have an i dotted.

Did any of you hire someone to look the completed package over?

Make sure all forms are signed and up to date. With that you should be fine. Enjoy your weekend ;D We didn't hire anyone to check it for us.

Na no reason to, I think anyone doing their own forms is educated enough to catch everything. We just took our time, went over every single thing on the checklist, double check the reqs for pics, check every single form and make sure they are all signed and up-to-date and you will be fine.

We didn't hire anyone either, but we DID go over EVERY SINGLE FORM - I'd read the first page, pass it to my fiance, then second, etc, etc. So it was double proofread.

Then...a few days later, we did it again! Hopefully that was good enough - we're waiting on sponsor approval still :)

Before we read over the forms, I would remind him, "Don't forget, my living in Canada permanently is based on these....so pay attention!" ;D

It's not him I'm worried about.. lawl! We have so much time to practice (not getting married till December) but I still panic frequently about it.

Haha, yeah, unfortunately if CIC is going to screw up, they'll do it regardless of whether or not you've got everything done correctly ;D I worry about that too. This forum is amazing for support but can really make you go crazy when hearing about all of the stupid things that can go wrong!!!

no need to.

My English is f**ked up according to my husband and of course he read all essays and forms before we mailed it.
still think there would be some mistakes but got DM anyway.

so no worries.
