Hi,

I am yash and I wanted to apply for PR through CEC. But I not sure if I'm eligible when it comes to my work experience.
After graduation, I got one year Post graduate work permit (Aug 21 2013 - Aug 21 2014). But I started working only by September 21 2013, i.e., After a month prior to my Post grad work permit issue date. But I have covered my 1560 hours of full time work in 11 months. Am I eligible ? Or Should I have both hours and worked for 12 months.

Thanks,
Yash

Unfortunately you're not eligible. You must meet both the hours and 12 month requirement in order to qualify to apply.

I see !
Thank you Scylla !
Am I eligible under any other criteria through which I will be able to extend my work permit and gain that one month ?

Thanks,
Yash

Can you extend your PGWP to three years? It can only be extended if you did at least a two year course.

If not, then the only other option I can think is to get your employer to sponsor your LMO.

Can I ask, what you were doing after your graduation till September.

Hi maniac2403,
Yeah i can't extend my PGWP since my study program was one year and yes I'm trying to get LMO but I heard its getting harder these days after new laws. :(

Hi canadacec123,
I was looking for job and attending interview and It took me a month to start working. I was still in Canada.
