Has LA Office requested your Original passport not copies?

Although passport copies are acceptable for visa exempt individuals, it is up to the Visa Officer's discretion to rely on the copy. It may be that they want to see it randomly, or that someone missed that you are visa exempt. If you have travel coming up, reply to them and advise them of the dates so you can agree whether to send the passport before or after your trip (they've also been known to reply with a simple request for a copy instead if you are visa exempt).

Oh they already have the passport. Lol. So i am just looking for someone who is in similar situation or has been, to talk with.

They would ask for passports of anyone not visa-exempt. They need to stick the visa in the passport so you can land.

I am from a visa exempt country and LA requested my passport copies 2months ago. We got PPR (photocopies) on Jan 8th 2014. I'm still waiting, LA seems to be pretty slow these days. My Ecas still says "in process" and I'm currently living in canada on TRV.

Is two months or greater wait normal for LA applicants waiting for COPR?
