My husband's letter from his employer is from January 2010, so it is 6 months old. Is that all right?

Why do you need this letter from employer? For what purpose?

Re: Letter from Employer

It's on the document checklist, #18

Re: Letter from Employer

My hubby's letter was from April and we sent ours off this month. We just put a post it note on it (I think) and just stated that he was still employed there and that the information was still the same.

Re: Letter from Employer

My husband forgot something else, and now we don't have this important letter. >:(

I love him to death, but his memory!!!! He forgot to mail me the option c, overnight $40 and now this... another $40! I don't know what to do, I wish he hadn't forgotten it. And it has to be the ORIGINAL! :(

I thought I had his old letter, turns out I don't. But thanks for the information :)

Re: Letter from Employer

Has anyone sent a non-original letter? A faxed letter, such as? Did the employer sign it?

I would think non-original would be fine, unless it states otherwise. I am currently unemployed but sent letters from my previous employer saying basically that I was an excellent employee and my position at the company was terminated through no fault of my own.

I think a signature is important, however. fax should be ok, though.

It does say Original... but we're really pressed for time. I hope they wouldn't return the application over it... he's going to e-mail it to me and I'm going to print it. It seems like such a trivial thing considering income has no bearing on spouses.

i sent a scanned copy -- pdf printed it out.. no problem

Wow, great! Thank you! So great to hear someone did that. Did you tell them it was a copy? Or did you just include it and say nothing?

it was part of my sponsorship application.. i just included it.. i was approved

It is not a requirement as a spouse to send paycheck stubs, though we were going to originally for lack of an Option C Printout but we have that now. Thanks :)
