Hi,

I would like to know, if any of the members on this forum has received a visa after submitting his IELTS Academic score with his Federal Skilled Worker application, post 26th June 2010 under the new rules?

Looking forward to the valuable comments from the esteemed members of this forum.

Regards,

Prash

Hi every one,

As a prospective immigrant to Canada, I've just join this forum discussion and find it very interesting! I've been trying since about 3 years ago on immigrating to Canada and am still struggling with. Getting back to the present topic:many thanks to Prash9 and Canada_pr1 as I wanted information on the same question: I scored very good IELTS - ACADEMIC score lastly and have been wondering whether it could save me from sitting again for the IELTS_GENERAL TRAINING.

Besides, I hereby would like to introduce my new topic from this page if you don't mind (being newly subscribed, i haven't discovered yet how i can introduce independently my own topic):

CAN ONE STILL BE ELIGIBLE (to federal application) IF THE 1 YEAR WORK EXPERIENCE CLAIMED AS A SOCIAL WORKER (one of the 29 eligible occupations presently) WAS GAINED WITH A DIFFERENT UNIVERSITY QUALIFICATION?

Here I mean that one holds a bachelor degree in LAW and has however worked as social worker for more than 4 years and would like to submit an application under SOCIAL WORKER occupation.

Thank you very much in advance!

for post 26 June applicants, the IELTS should be GENERAL, NOT the academic one.
for Pre 26 June applicants, also the academic ones has been accepted.

it's too early yet to determine if academic ielts had been considered because june 26 was just few months ago, and it wud be very impossible for someone to have a visa already applying after june 26...but i guess, it would always be better to follow the requirmnt but to those who dared already then just hope and if things won't come out fine then just accept it and apply again..though easier said than done, but we can't do anything..
