Has anyone flown from Hong Kong to Toronto or Vancouver recently?

Hi All,

We have a Cathay Pacific flight on 11th March from Mumbai via Hong Kong (Layover of 8 hours) to Toronto.
In the light of current Coronavirus is it safe to travel from HK airport? Are there additional screenings for passengers coming from HK at immigration counter?

I am not sure if we should cancel or go ahead with Cathay Pacific

In any case the situation could change in the next 6 weeks either positively or negatively so anyone travelling now even if they share their experience things could be completely different in March

If you feel uncomfortable about transiting HK then guess is a personal decision to change or not but unless you have a refundable ticket doubt you can avoid some sort of change fee given your travel date as airlines are only likely to be flexible with imminent travel. Check with the airline I guess for their policy and look at travelling west rather than east.

What's the problem of traveling east? One can transit Japan, Taiwan, Australia or Philippines from India.
