You're well within normal processing times so it probably won't concern them much, but it shouldn't hurt to try.

If it will help you to feel better then send an email. Like I said it probably won't harm anything. But if it is going to make you even more frustrated waiting for an email reply, then don't! Do whatever will help your peace of mind the most.

That's because 90% of those forum members have non-complicated, straight forward cases. Your wife overstayed in the US for 26 years, that might have played a part in the delay.

Don't worry, in the end you will be successful, as with most Manila applicants. It's a fairly easy VO.
