Hi Guys,

I know this will sound a bit crazy. I had applied for PR back in May 2010 and I got my first response in November 2010. I sent my documents to CIC office in New Delhi India within the stipulated timeframe. I got a letter from the Visa office in January 2011 stating that "We have received your application and will be processed in the next 6 months and if you dont hear from us write to us"

My primary objective to apply for PR was to study in Canada as Permanent residents are charged a significantly lower fees than International students. But I heard from people that PR takes a lot of time and then I applied for Student Visa and now I am here in canada since September 2011. I have notified the CIC office in New Delhi even though they might know that already that I will be studying in Canada.

I dont know if somebody has come across a similar situation. What should be the procedures going forward? How do I still stick to the plan of being a PR ? Does anybody have any idea ??
