Hi,
My husband and i both has h1b visa. Just a couple of days ago while returning back from India, my husband got deported when they found that he helped someone with proxy and also resume with more than his experience. His visa got cancelled and a ban of 5 years is imposed. He already have Canada PR but he must enter Canada by this december to make sure he atleast started staying after 2nd year. Will he be admitted with US remark even after having PR card?

any input will help us greatly.

thank you!!

Yes, he will be admitted to Canada. The US deportation won't be an issue for entry into Canada.

If he wants to keep Canadian PR, make sure he moves back to Canada in time to meet the residency requirement. Keep in mind that the residency obligation is calculated as of the landing date, not the date on the PR card.

Thank you for the information.
One more question-
Is it still ok if the US CBP has written about his ban on this passport? Does canadian immigration check this and deny entry?

Yes - it's still OK.

No issues with Canada as long as he has a valid unexpired PR card.

If you are already a PR then dont worry too much. I dont know why you need to wait till Dec when you have status problem in other country. Plan to move soon well before the residency obligation mark.
I still dont get whats 2nd year. As scylla mentioned, residency obligations starts since day 1 of landing date.
Thank you for the information.

Yes, its fine since Canada is a different country but i expect more questions hence be prepared to answer.

Sorry about this, good to know you guys have a backup in Canada. If you don’t mind me asking - How on god’s green earth did CBP figure this out? Was a scan of devices done to reveal this? What happened?

Yea, they randomly chose us and asked some questions. When we denied on everything they grabbed all electronics and searched for some keywords in emails, messages etc.,

Your husband will need to inform employers that he won’t be able to travel to the US. That may be an issue for some jobs.
